The Outer Banks Arboretum and Teaching Garden
Located adjacent to the Thomas H. Baum Center in Kill Devil Hills, the Arboretum and Teaching Garden is a free, open park with wheelchair accessible pathways that are available to the public from dawn until dusk, 365 days a year. On Wednesday mornings from 9:00 to 11:00 from May through November, visit the Arboretum and Teaching Garden to talk to a Master Gardener at their Greenline booth. The Arboretum and Teaching Garden a great place to walk, enjoy seasonal color, learn about plants that grow well on the Outer Banks, and savor our forested local landscape. Dogs are welcome, but only if accompanied by a responsible, leashed human. Come, visit the garden!
