Paige will discuss how attention to detail and customer service as well as employee retention and mission statements all play a part in profitability. A crucial part of business management is understanding how to read profit and loss statements, income statements, and aging statements. If you don’t know what these terms are this will be a great time to implement them in your business model.

11 a.m. – Pollinators: How to Bee Active

Ryan Adams Extension Associate, Center for Integrated Pest Management, NC State Extension

Through the presentation, we will examine the challenging relationship between turf and pollinators, including: how perception has shaped the turf industry; discussion on why pollinator populations are in decline; current research at NC State University on conservation and habitat; tips to support pollinator conservation and habitat; communicating facts to the community
