Ask a Master Gardener
Ask a Master Gardener in-person services will resume April 14, 2021 on Wednesdays at the Outer Banks Arboretum and April 19 on Mondays at the Extension office in Manteo.
Covid precautions will include face masks and social distancing.
Master Gardener℠ volunteers in Dare County will be available at the Outer Banks Arboretum and Teaching Garden every Wednesday from March to November, weather permitting from 9 to 11 a.m. Bring your garden questions, samples, and photos or pick up a soil sample kit.
Also on Wednesdays, you will find Master Gardener℠ volunteers working throughout the Outer Banks Arboretum & Teaching Garden and they are always happy to answer your questions.
The Outer Banks Arboretum & Teaching Garden is free, open 365 days a year from sun-up to sun-down. There are handicap-accessible trails, a sensory garden, a composting demonstration area, native plants, lawn test plots, a butterfly highway, and much more! The Outer Banks Arboretum & Teaching Garden is located at 300 Mustian Street, Kill Devil Hills.
Can’t make it on Wednesdays? The Master Gardener℠ volunteers are also available at the N.C. Cooperative Extension of Dare County office in Manteo on Mondays from 9 a.m. to noon and can be reached by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 252-473-4290. The N.C. Cooperative Extension of Dare County office is located at 517 Budleigh Street in Manteo.
