N.C. Cooperative Extension of Dare County is excited to welcome Kim Armstrong to the position of Administrative Assistant. Kim brings with her 10 years of experience working as an administrative assistant with the Coastal Studies Institute and replaces Donna Hanusik who retired after 30 years of service. In describing her role with Cooperative Extension, Kim employs a bit of gardening terminology.Kim Armstrong I hope to plant seeds of education and learning, cultivate and grow relationships with partners and the community, and stay rooted in my efforts to support the director and staff. In other words, bloom where I am planted.” In her leisure time, she enjoys bicycling and reading (but not at the same time) and planning her next getaway to the western part of the state for awesome hiking adventures. Kim is eager to connect Dare County residents with Cooperative Extension’s innovative, research-based programs for an improved quality of life.
