Collapse ▲Hello everyone my name is Ruth Perkins and I am the new Dare County 4-H Agent. I recently moved to Dare County from Lincoln County in the western part of the state. I graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Ancient and Medieval History. I love a good book, and I get way too excited over obscure historical facts.
As a child, I was a member of the 4-H program where I gained many of the life skills that I still use today. I have spent most of my life involved in 4-H, both as a 4-H’er and a volunteer. This has instilled in me a passion for the program, and for working with youth. I am so excited to meet new people and help you learn about what 4-H can do for you! I also look forward to exploring this beautiful place I now call home.
