Hey, everyone! My name is Jenna Livernois and I am the new N.C. Cooperative Extension, Dare County Center Horticulture Agent. I’ve been a resident of Dare County for 10 years. I grew up in Virginia Beach and spent much of my childhood visiting the Outer Banks. I love getting out and exploring our sandbar, whether it’s going on hikes, beach combing, or swimming in the sea.
I graduated from Old Dominion University with a degree in Biology. Over the years, I have been focused on environmental education and I’ve worked at the Virginia Aquarium, the North Carolina Aquarium, and Jennette’s Pier. Horticulture is a big hobby of mine – tending to houseplants and growing fruits and vegetables in seasonal gardens. I look forward to combining my education and career with one of my favorite hobbies. I am so excited to meet new people within the gardening community!
