Currituck County 4-H is hosting a workshop at the Lily Pad Pottery in Elizabeth City NC on August 14, 2024 for youth ages 5-7.
Participants will meet at the NC Cooperative Extension , Currituck Center office located at 120 Community Way in Barco at 9:00am and travel with the 4-H staff to Elizabeth City to the Lily Pad Pottery. There each participant will be given a piece of pottery that they will get to paint. Once they are done with the pottery class, they will go for a picnic lunch and then they will visit the local Museum of the Albemarle where they will learn about local history and crafts from wood. Participants will need to bring a bag lunch.
Space is limited and registration deadline is August 9, 2024. There is a $13.00 registration fee. This may be paid online through eventbrite or you may pay with cash or check. Cash and check payments need to be paid within five days of your registration. If you are paying by check please make it payable to NCSU, and mail it to NCCE 120 Community Way Barco NC 27917. With this registration fee youth will take home their very own piece of art they created.
All participants must also be enrolled in 4-H Online for the 2024 program year; the link to that portion of the registration process is https://v2.4honline.com .
