Delopserma commonly know as Ice Plant, forms a carpet of soft, low growing green succulent foliage with daisy-like flowers.



The flowers have a long blooming season and come in over 100 varieties in an array of colors. It flourishes on neglect and thrives in dry, sandy soil in full sun.


Delosperma is perfect for Waterwise or a xeriscape landscape, rock walls, or containers.



  • Full sun.
  • Well-drained soil types; grows best in dry, sandy environments.
  • Fast-growing ground cover.
  • Drought tolerant.
  • Moderately salt tolerant.
  • Heat tolerant.
  • Tolerates high traffic areas.
  • Attracts butterflies.
  • No serious pest problems.
