Verbena is a sun loving, drought-tolerant flowering plant that provides continuous color from spring until frost. With over 250 species of annuals and perennials, natives and non-natives, ground cover to shrubs there is certain to be a variety that is right for your Outer Banks landscape.

Verbena’s flowers are showy and long lasting. During the growing season from spring to late fall, Verbena blooms vigorously and continuously, attracting pollinators are season long.

Verbena is a low-maintenance plant that can be placed anywhere in the garden. Grows well in rock beds, hanging baskets and containers. It also makes a nice ground cover or border. Verbena likes well drained soil and full sun.

Once established Verbena can re-seed itself but take care as they will crowed out other plants.
